Management Tips:

 

• Feed by weight–not by volume.
• Weigh feed in the container you will be using and be sure to subtract the weight of the container.
• Calf Starter-Grower should be introduced to calves while still nursing or consuming milk replacer.
• Calves can be fed Calf Starter-Grower as the sole ration after weaning. Weaning should occur no sooner than 3 months of age.
• Feed Calf Starter-Grower twice a day at the same time each day. Feed cattle only what they will eat before the next feeding.
• Gradually increase the feed amount until the calf is eating 2%-3% of bodyweight per day, depending on breed and size.
• At 3 months of age, supplement Calf Starter-Grower with approximately 1 lb. of high quality hay per head per day.
• Calf Starter-Grower can be fed up to approximately one year of age. Feed at 2%-3% bodyweight per day to achieve production goals and depending on forage quality.
• In addition to Calf Starter-Grower, a good trace mineral is recommended free choice starting at 3 months of age.

 

Feeding Guide:

Each lb. of this medicated feed contains 11.35 mg of Decoquinate. Feed at a level to obtain 22.7 mg/100 lb. of bodyweight per day (2 lb. medicated feed per 100 lb. of bodyweight) for at least 28 days during periods of coccidiosis or when it is likely to be a hazard.

Provide adequate amounts of good-quality roughage and plenty of fresh, clean water.
